The Mission

Team Detroit will embark on a road trip adventure from their hometown to South by Southwest in Austin, TX behind the wheel of one of Chevrolet’s newest products. A series of clues will guide the team to the festival, and they will be asked to participate in a number of scavenger hunt style challenges along the way.

The road trip will be a competition between Team Detroit and eight other teams from across the country. The clues guiding the team routes will be slightly different, because everyone’s starting point is different, but the challenges the teams will complete along the way will be the same.

There will be a total of 50 challenges (10 challenges in each of five categories) that will need to be completed along the trip. Five of them will be given from the Chevy team, the other 45 will be crowd sourced in the weeks leading up to SXSW.

The clues will guide everyone to a common point in Austin for a welcome reception to kick off the South by Southwest activities on Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m. Central Time. The winning team will receive a Chevrolet sponsored Tweetup in their hometown.
